Despite that an area in your life is stressful or emotionally painful - you are resisting change. If you believe the problem would be solved if “someone else would only change..,” you can stop reading here. I will not be able to help you. First step to change is to realize that you have no control over other people. You can try, and briefly succeed, or succeed for a long time with selfish and evil methods. But ultimately, if you want to be free, you must recognize, that finding happiness starts with you. You are the one who need to change yourself or your circumstance.
SO, you know you need to change and want to, but why are you still procrastinating? It is human to resist change because we are lazy. We like to be comfortable and we fear the unknown. So sticking to our personal routine feels safe. Change usually requires a period of extra energy, discomfort, openness and trust in that doing the right thing, will lead to positive outcome for all involved.

One way of making change happen, is to engage a therapist or a life coach. They can offer various techniques that make change easy and fun. Personally, as an online meditation teacher, I only work with clients who are on the spiritual path. My methods are geared towards and usually only appeal to seekers of the ultimate Truth.
If you, like most of us, want to find happiness, there are no short cuts. Or rather, there absolutely is a short cut! And that is to start now and to face everything that scares you. What we fear is a reliable guide to our individual doorways to Freedom.
Teaching my clients mindful meditation techniques is the foundation for this kind of work. One because it gives them an immediate tool for peace and a break from their stressor. And two, because it brings to surface the original cause of the chaos in their life. And when these skeletons are uncovered, faced and felt, they will stop manifesting as external forms of pain.
Feeling buried feelings is the main unconscious reason we procrastinate when it comes to change. They are buried exactly because ones upon a time, these feelings were too overwhelming to feel. And at that time, it was a healthy defense mechanism, to bury the pain and create alternative coping methods.
But as long as you keep running from this process of uncovering, facing and feeling never felt feelings, these tucked away memories will continue to manifest as various forms of hardship. Most of the time, making change happen, is all about emotional healing. You can keep drinking your cocktail of hope and denial, or you can do the work of transcending buried pain. And when done right, your pain and all its various forms of expression WILL be gone FOREVER.
However, no need to do this work alone. Most people need support and guidance. If you are drawn to my style I look forward to meet you at my free introductory session.
All of life is change! And no sentient being escapes pain. Resisting pain or change only creates additional and unnecessary suffering. Once we accept that life through this body IS occasional pain and constant change. Once we come to love the natural unfolding of our destiny, there will ironically be less pain, more flow and endless gratitude.
